Harold Bell: Insider and Voice on the Showtime Documentary “The Kings”


Washington, DC’s legendary sportscaster Harold Bell is a voice contributor of the Showtime Sports Documentary “The Kings.”  The series showcases the dominance of Roberto Duran, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard and their battles in and out of the ring.  Collectively, these four icons were part of a boxing renaissance as each man rotated to fight the other.

Muhammad Ali is the GREATEST when it comes to the boxing world.  Showtime’s documentary “Four Kings” features, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, and Marvin Hagler. 

The documentary series covers the most exciting era of boxing history second only to Muhammad Ali and Harold Bell was an eye witness to both eras.

Bell’s voice can be heard in several segments of the documentary that feature Sugar Ray Leonard.

Harold Bell is the Godfather of Sports Talk radio and television in Washington, DC.  Throughout the mid-sixties, seventies and eighties, Harold embarked upon a relatively new medium–-sports talk radio with classic interviews with sports celebrities, politicians and news makers of the day.  The show and format became wildly popular.
