Marcus Devine, is worthy of wider recognition. He appears to be a well-grounded, decent, and caring human being with solid values and did I mention that he has served as Music Director, Producer, Support Vocalist, and Songwriter for a variety of music artists such as Ashanti, Ginuwine, BETH, Aaliyah, Charlie Wilson, Silk, Destiny’s Child, 112, Dave Hollister, Deitrick Haddon, Xscape, Teddy Pendergrass, Latocha Scott, Mario, Monica, Kelly Price, Shirley Murdock, Day 26, Brownstone, and Men of Standard to name a few.

Marcus, also known as “Da Heat Mizer” was born in Detroit, Michigan when Detroit was the place to be.  The auto industry was booming, and the music scene was hot!!  As a kid, Marcus taught himself to play multiple instruments such as bass guitar, lead guitar, drums and piano. However, singing was his first love!! Marcus comes from a family of singers. He had dreams of being a professional basketball player until Marcus saw how people responded to his voice when he sang “On The Wings of Love” by Jeffery Osborne in a 9th grade talent show.

The response was so great to his singing and performing that he later quit the basketball team in the 11th grade to pursue singing. The basketball coach was livid about Marcus’ decision, but it was the best decision he ever made.

Currently Marcus is busy making music with the release of his new single, “Greatest Show,” and promoting his designer sunglasses line “Marcus Devine Signature Shades.”
