The Eagles offense marched back onto the field with Hurts, Barkley, Smith, Goedert, and Brown all ready for the next series of calls. They returned to the same formula of runs and passes to their main four players, Barkley, Brown, Goedert, and Smith, and were knocking on the door again at Green Bay’s eleven-yard line.

“All right, give me another touchdown, Saquon,” Tony pleaded, as he continued to round the stadium for another game view point.

“Come onnn! Stop them!” Maddie shouted from her Brad dock family seats.

The Eagles were starting to look like the dominant team the National Football League thought they would be in the 2024 season. They had too many excellent players not to be good. As predicted, their new superstar running back sprinted to his right for another handoff from Jalen Hurts before darting through the Packers defense to score from eleven yards out.

“Touchdown! Saquon Barkley!” the Brazilian game announcer’s voice boomed over the speakers.

“YESSSSSS!” Tony shouted at the top of his lungs. “Bring me the money, baby! Bring me the money!”

The Brazilian spectators continued to sneak glances at the Philadelphian Italian as if he had lost his mind. But Tony didn’t care. He had just won his first pot of money from his Fanatics Sportsbook bets on Saquon Barkley scoring two touchdowns or more.

“He’s in great shape to score a third one now!” Tony shouted to anyone listening. “We got a whole other half of football left to play,” so he was excited about his chances.

Even DaQuan knew it. After the second Barkley touchdown, he smiled at his wife, and said, “Tony just won him some money.”

“On Barkley’s second touchdown?” Camilla guessed.

“Yup.”

“Does he get more money if Barkley scores three touch downs?” she asked.

“Yup. He can rack up on that one,” DaQuan answered with a chuckle.

Camilla said, “Well, that’s obvious. Of course, Barkley’s gonna score a touchdown. This is his first game with the Eagles.”

“Yeah, but that don’t mean he’s gon’ score two or three. So, Tony went extra on that bet,” DaQuan explained. “And Barkley’s definitely gonna get one in the second half,” he added.

After kicker Jake Elliott, in his white number 4 jersey, made the extra point to reclaim the Eagles lead at 14–12, the same victory drums boomed over stadium loudspeakers.

Boom—BOOOMM, Boom—BOOOMM, Boom—BOOOMM, Boom— BOOOMM . . . “Flyyy, Ea-gles, flyyy / on the road to vic-tor-reee . . .”

Maddie looked at her father again, and said, “Really, Dad? Like, they’re gonna sing this every single time they score?”

Arthur laughed, and said, “That’s what they do, honey. If we wanna stop them from singing, we have to stop them from scoring.”

“Well, they have a lot of star power on their team. We’re just rebuilding with young players,” Kaitlyn explained.

“That’s what I told you before about this game,” her husband reminded her. “The Eagles have a lot more to lose than we do.”

“Well, we’re still gonna win,” his wife insisted.

Raymond smiled at it all, while getting used to the Eagles victory song.

Leticia and Lucas were getting used to the Eagles song as well in their elevated box seats. They began to sing along with it and yelled the empathic ending, “E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!” as their parents laughed, enjoying themselves.

“Everybody in the arena gonna know that song if we score, like, three more touchdowns and win this game,” DaQuan stated, with a chuckle. “I know, right?” his wife agreed, grinning. “These Brazilians are looking around like, ‘What the hell are they singing?’”
