Actress Larissa Dali Talks Acting, Inspiration, and Her Breakout Role in “Deadly Escape”

0

Actress Larissa Dali is quickly carving out a name for herself as one of the most versatile new talents in film. Known for her viral performance in the indie thriller Becky and her breakout role in Tyler Perry Studios’ Ole Gray Mare, she’s now captivating audiences again in the newly released psychological thriller Deadly Escape.

In a recent conversation with Gary Johnson, Host/Executive Producer of Calculations Talk Show, Larissa shared the personal inspirations and passions that drive her work. She revealed that her journey into acting and modeling was fueled by a deep love of storytelling and a desire to bring authentic characters to life. Her performance in Becky first gave audiences a glimpse of her intensity and screen presence, but Deadly Escape represents a bold leap into darker, more complex territory.

In the film, written and directed by Lakisha R. Lemons, Dali portrays Bianca Berry, a television reporter who finds herself entangled in a chilling story of a fugitive woman, a hostage, and a web of secrets where the line between predator and prey blurs. Dali’s ability to bring nuance and grit to the role has earned her attention as one of the breakout stars of the project.

But the conversation went deeper than just film roles. Larissa opened up about her commitment to health and wellness, a discipline that she believes is just as important as preparation and craft in building a sustainable acting career. She and Gary also discussed her acting inspirations, and how studying the greats motivates her to push her own range as a performer.

“Versatility is everything,” Larissa noted, explaining how moving between genres—from indie thrillers to festival-circuit dramas and comedic viral skits—has helped her grow both as an actress and as a person.

With Deadly Escape now streaming on Tubi, Prime Video, Fawesome TV, and YouTube, and her short film Ole Gray Mare continuing to make rounds on the festival circuit, Larissa Dali is proving that she’s not only a rising star but also a storyteller with depth, discipline, and heart.

Her conversation with Calculations Talk Show offered a candid look at the woman behind the performances—one who is committed to her craft, her health, and her community, and who continues to inspire others with her journey.
