The Show Is Over — A Big Thanks to the Team That Made It Happen

Well, the show is over — and what a show it was! A huge thank you to the incredible team that made it all possible. Let’s take a moment to go behind the scenes and recognize those who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.

Director: Gary Johnson

Gary had more than a few sleepless nights keeping every person and every detail moving in the right direction. From scheduling production meetings to adjusting around everyone’s busy schedules, he made sure the team stayed focused and on track. His leadership was the glue that kept the entire production together.

Producer: Donna Gray-Banks

Donna had the monumental task of pulling everything together — and on time. That alone was an enormous challenge. She calmly managed different personalities, gave clear direction, and kept the team motivated without stepping on any toes. From food to t-shirts and everything in between, Donna ensured no detail was overlooked. Her organizational skills and grace under pressure were second to none.

Musical Director: Jeanine McAdams Nesbit

Jeanine truly pulled a rabbit out of the hat. We were all concerned about producing a show that would attract both national and international attention — and she made it happen. Though understanding the financial demographics of our area wasn’t easy at first, Jeanine quickly adapted and delivered an unforgettable musical experience perfectly suited to North Central Florida.

Sound Engineer: Leroy McClendon

Leroy also pulled off some magic of his own. He transformed a lecture hall into a full-fledged concert venue, renting and configuring the necessary equipment to ensure top-tier sound. His words after the show: “Next time, I know what to do better.” That’s the spirit of a true professional — always learning, always improving.

Graphics & Marketing: L.D. Robinson

L.D. proved to be a master of visual design. From flawless flyers to a stunning show book, her work was top-notch. But it didn’t come easy — it took countless late nights, long phone calls, and a printer pushed to its limits. Her creative vision helped define the look and feel of our entire production.

Technical Support: Chauncey Dunham II

Chauncey II came through in the clutch with critical last-minute technical additions. Thanks to him, we were able to accept credit card payments right before showtime — a small change that made a huge difference. His quick thinking and adaptability were invaluable.

CEO & Visionary: Chauncey Dunham

This entire project began with a dream — one born from Chauncey’s belief that America hadn’t properly recognized the genius of Quincy Jones. Determined to change that, he took action. There were times he wanted to throw in the towel (at least once a week!), but he kept pushing forward. He surrounded himself with a team of talented, smart, and dedicated people who shared his passion and made this vision a reality.

To the entire team, — job well done.

We proved that when passion meets purpose, incredible things happen.
