Director Spike Lee documents an in-depth look into the evolution of The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and the cultural significance – and lasting impact – of his seminal first solo album as an adult, ‘Off The Wall.’
The Weeknd, QuestLove and poet Lemon Anderson are just a few of the stars interviewed for this special documentary, which will be released in conjunction with the reissue of MJ’s classic 1979 album, Off The Wall, on Feb. 26. The documentary also includes interviews from Lee Daniels, Pharrell Williams, L.A. Reid, Misty Copeland, Kobe Bryant and members of the Jackson family.
“Off the Wall” features the chart-topping singles “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” and “Rock With You,” as well as the hit title track and “She’s Out of My Life.”
Thanks to the 1979 album, MJ, who was 20 when “Off the Wall” was released, became the first solo artist to have four top-10 singles from the same album.
