George Floyd’s death has been a catalyst for some incredibly powerful works of art consisting of digital paintings, public art and murals. The background image from Floyd’s memorial service today in Minneapolis was based on this mural.

This mural was reproduced digitally for George Floyd’s memorial service in Minneapolis, MN.  It was one of the first public artworks by community artists Cadex Herrera, Greta McLain, and Xena Goldman.  The mural, which was painted on the side of a grocery store last week, was just down the street from where Floyd was arrested.
