Genius is Common is a growing movement and the brainchild of Bruce George, the Co-Founder of the award-winning “Russell Simmons Presents, Def Poetry Jam (HBO).

What makes the slogan Genius is Common so unique, is the fact that in a few words it levels the playing field of who is traditionally thought of as a genius.

All beings have a genius in them. Genius manifests itself through each being’s own unique way of expressing their passion, be it their profession, their art, their talent.

Positioned to become a part of the American lexicon like Nike’s “Just Do It” and Sprite’s “Obey your thirst,” Genius Is Common in just a few words levels the playing field of who is traditionally thought to be a genius.

According to Founder, Bruce George, Genius Is Common is about tearing down the Berlin Wall of the word genius.” Be inspired – Be engaged – Be empowered.
