A video of 9-year old Charlotte, North Carolina resident Zianna Oliphant has gone viral and brought many who watched her to tears.  As protesters, many angry and emotional, spoke before the Charlotte City Council on September 26, 2016, chanted, “No justice, no peace,” pertaining to the death of 43-year old Keith Lamont Scott, who was shot and killed by a black police officer.

Scott, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a motorcycle crash last year, was shot Sept. 20 while waiting for his child’s school bus. The police said Scott was armed and, when ordered out of his truck, refused numerous commands to drop his weapon. A gun was found at the scene, police said.

Watch Zianna Oliphant address the Charlotte City Council.
