Black Men In America.com was conceived in 1995 by Gary A. Johnson, who was flying from Las Vegas back home to DC the day of the Million Man March. Gary saw the Internet as “the great equalizer” allowing him to provide a forum and a voice to the voiceless when it came to issues of interest to black men. He had plenty of ideas and content and after 6 years officially launched the site in January 2001.

Gary believes in diverse views and opinions and posts content to reflect that. Black Men In America.com has visitors from over 92 countries from around the world. Don’t let the name of the site fool you. One of the goals of this extraordinary online magazine is to be inclusive and to unite and focus on issues that are unique to black men and in many cases black people.
