Featuring Special Guest
Gary A. Johnson, Founder and Publisher

Black Men In was conceived in 1995 by Gary A. Johnson, who was flying from Las Vegas back home to DC the day of the Million Man March.  Gary saw the Internet as “the great equalizer” allowing him to provide a forum and a voice to the voiceless when it came to issues of interest to black men. He had plenty of ideas and content and after 6 years officially launched the site in January 2001.
Today, Black Men In is one of the hottest web sites on the Internet. We are 100% black owned and feature ordinary men and women, living extraordinary lives.

Gary believes in diverse views and opinions and posts content to reflect that. Black Men In has visitors from over 92 countries from around the world. Don’t let the name of the site fool you. One of the goals of this extraordinary online magazine is to be inclusive and to unite and focus on issues that are unique to black men and in many cases black people. Many of the things that Black Men In get involved with are relevant to all people. Approximately 45% of site visitors are women. Visitors are able to exchange information on a variety of subjects and issues.
