What Makes Dante Tick?

Music!! Music!! Music!!

Good afternoon,

Just think it has been 6 years since A Dante production started in Florida.  Many of you know this has been a labor of LOVE. Meeting so many of the music greats who have moved to Florida because of the weather, and the various cost of housing. People always said, “I thought you retired.”  And I said,  “I did.  However, if I get mentally stuck, I will no longer have fun, so I keep going and the company keeps getting bigger.”  I have some people to thank for seeing the dream come alive.

We also had some naysayer’s, however, people with no vision have no life so they become a invisible entity anyway. I often tell people you haven’t seen anything yet just wait until my buddy Gary Johnson moves here.  We have mutual energy to make things happen. Well, Gary is now living here and between the premier magazine, Black Men In America.com which I write for, and the podcast Calculations Talk Show which Gary is the host, we work another 40-hour week–not because we have to, because we WANT to.

What makes Dante Tick is something I like to write to keep people up to date both in Florida and others who follow us from other parts of the country.  I learned a very important word during this venture–the word is “NO.” Our musicians spend many hours practicing, they buy gas, and they wear clean clothes, so I don’t discount their prices.

Many of you read my email about being the first to know what is next, so below is the next mainstream events in the city of Daytona Beach.

It is a bit unusual yet very entertaining.

Midtown Music Concerts at Cypress Park

The city sponsored Midtown Music Concert Series is underway at Cypress Park in Daytona Beach. The best bands in the area will be playing in the concert series that will be from 7 to 9 PM at Cypress Park on select Saturday nights through Sept. 16.

Divas of Jazz is the vision of Grammy Award-winning pianist/keyboardist/producer Jeanine McAdams. Members include Joela Santil (bass), Kisha Pugh (drums) and Alex Bodytko Shaw (woodwinds). These ladies of distinction in music and entertainment have performed and recorded on national and international stages, television, Disney and Universal and toured with Broadway shows. Then Sunday

It’s called Back-to-Back.

We at A Dante Production have a Brand and it’s “A Touch of Class” and that is the music we provide.
